Hi, readers! Last week, my classmate and I were asked to make an essay or a mini paper. I was difficult to make it, but I tried very hard to make it. I did a mini research after that I began to write an essay. This is my essay :) I hope that you can like it and it can be beneficial for you.

Should man be paid higher than woman?

In the past, women just stayed at home. They just became a housewife. They cleaned the house and they cooked for their family. Nowadays, women can get the same position with men. They can work outside the home, and can achieve their passions. But, women still earned only 77 cents for every dollar that men earned in 2012, according to new data from the U.S. The gender wage gap has hovered at about 77 cents on the dollar since 2007. It is discrimination. I disagree with statement that man should be paid higher than woman. I believe that: if it happens, it can make a conflict between them, because women fell that it is discrimination, woman has better quality than man; woman has the same specialized educational training with man. Thus, why should woman be paid low?

First opinion, it will make a conflict between them, and it is discrimination for woman. For example, if woman know that she gets different salary from man. Woman will try to fell to each other. They will become enemy, and then they cannot become a team work, and it can influence the benefit of company, so the company will be loose. And then, woman feels that is discrimination of gender. Mostly, society still looks about sexism; however there are many women that work as engineer, mechanic, and pilot. Those are difficult works, but women can do it well. Woman, who is diligent and do better in the same company with man, will be paid less, because they are in social position where it is full politic and discrimination. Woman cannot be negotiation well, so woman is in weak situation, and are not playing ‘nice’ like a man. There is still gender wage gap in modern era, so the fairness must be applied and it should not make it different.

Another opinion, a woman has better quality than man in a work. Because woman is more diligent than man, woman can work more quickly. If woman works, she will work hard and she can forget to eat. Then, she will not be calm, if she has not done the work yet. For example, when woman was in school, mostly woman is to become the best student, because woman is more diligent than man. Quality of woman must become a consideration for giving salary. On the other hand, man often finishes the work until deadline letter. Furthermore, a good quality of woman has higher motivation than man. For example, woman has high motivation to achieve their ambitions. She also has a list of their mission and vision. If the company has woman employee, it is useful for the company. It can increase the income. Thus, those should become a consideration that woman’s salary must be same as man’s salary.

In addition, woman also has the same specialized educational training. It means that woman and man must study to get a certificate before they apply a job. For example, there are man’s teacher and woman’s teacher. The teachers graduate from university, and they get a same certificate. All of teachers have the same knowledge and capability. A teacher said that the teachers, who have a certificate, will get the same salary and a main salary. They work in the same school and they are in the same job why woman must earn money lower than man.

In conclusion, let me reiterate why woman should be paid low. Meanwhile, woman is hard-working, and the woman’s effort is so great. Then, woman and man also have the same ability. Moreover, it can make a conflict between them. Hence, I have different opinion that woman should be paid as high as man.
