Miss Ari's task

Women work outside the home

In modern life, some mothers work to add their income. They decide to help their husband. Mothers think that they need much money to fulfill their needs of family. The husband’s salary is not enough. The salary is just Rp.20.000 each day, so that is not enough to fulfill their needs. That case can happen in different countries. Let me take a sample from two countries. I want to make contrast essay between United States and my hometown. The differences are the percentage and the average of taking a job. Another difference is job schedule in the United State and in my hometown. And then, one other difference is how to find someone who will take care of their children during work. Even though both of them are different, they have a little similarity between them.
First, those countries have differences of the percentage and the average of taking a job. In the United States, over 70 percent of women with children under eighteen have job besides that of mother and homemaker. Moreover, the percentage grows quickly. Then, the average of them chooses a good career; such as, engineer, politician, doctor, lawyer, scientist, to achieve their passion. On the other hand, in my hometown, 20 percent of women have another job besides that of mother and homemaker. However the percentage is rare slow, the percentage of this year is higher than last year. Furthermore, the average of women in my hometown becomes an employee in factory. Thus, the percentage of women, who are working outside the home, grows up.
Moreover, those countries have different work schedule. In United States, there are full time, part time, flex time work schedule, and job sharing. That is why; women career must be able to manage the schedule. The women can choose work schedule what they want. Meanwhile, in my hometown, the women cannot choose work schedule, because the schedule has been made by the factory. They work at 08.00 am until 04.00 pm. They almost spend their time in a day. Thus, if they spend many hours away from house, who is taking care of their children?
Furthermore, women will think hard to find someone who will take care of their children, if they are working outside. In the United States, most mothers need to find day-care centers, nannies, or other individuals. All of them can afford to pay that, because they have a good career, and they have high salary. However there are between them who cannot pay that, so they will ask their family, especially the women’s family is expanded family. On the other hand, in my hometown, mothers cannot rent nannies or cannot pay day-care centers, so they will ask their family or their neighbor, because their salary is not enough to pay the day-care centers or cannot rent nannies. Even though women are working outside the home, they are a mom who still cares and they always to get closer with their family
In conclusion, let me reiterate that in United States and in my hometown are different. The difference is about women decided to working outside the home. That is why; women must be able to manage their time to take care of their children. They must look for the way how to find a solution. Here are some differences. In United States, most mothers decide to find day-care centers or nannies to take care of their children. In my hometown, mothers ask their family or their neighbor to take care of their children. Moreover, in United States, mothers have some choices to manage work schedule, but in my hometown, mothers cannot choose, because the work schedule has been declared. Those are some comparisons between United States and my hometown.
